Should Michigan Football be on commitment watch this weekend?

3* OT Christopher Terek (IL)

Similar to Howland in that he too has a line-up of official visits for the month of June, the Wolverines could certainly make an impression on Terek that scores them a future commitment.

Iowa seems to be the current leader, evidenced by a recent prediction made by 247Sport’s Allen Trieu in favor of the Hawkeyes earlier in May.

Iowa seems to be Michigan’s main competition here, as Terek will be wrapping up a Big Ten tour of Wisconsin (June 3), Michigan (June 10), Illinois (June 17), and then Iowa (June 23).

While I would anticipate Terek taking his remaining visits prior to making a decision, this is another recruitment that could be wrapped up sooner than later, putting a lot of pressure on co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore to really impress Terek on his visit.

3* TE Chico Holt (TX)

The Wolverines lost a tight end commitment earlier this year, seeing four-star tight end Andrew Rappleyea flip to Penn State. However, Michigan football is continuing to search for tight end prospects, with Holt becoming one of their top targets since Grant Newsome took over the position.

Currently ranked as the 44th best tight end in his class, the Houston product is my personal bet for the most likely to commit to the Wolverines either on or soon after his upcoming visit.

Why? Jim Harbaugh’s continued use of the tight end position, and the reality that Michigan football is certainly the best offer Holt has at this point, with other Power 5 programs like Texas, Northwestern, and Iowa State also getting involved.
