Projecting Michigan Football’s 2023 recruiting class

Defensive Front
Michigan has landed two players in this category so far, four-star linebacker Raylen Wilson (FL) and three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr (IL). The Wolverines will certainly have to fend off challenges for Wilson from a host of SEC programs still looking to flip the Sunshine State product.
Whether Wilson sticks around or not, the Wolverines could find some additional highly-regarded linebackers out of Florida to join him. Twin brothers in four-stars Andrew Harris and Michael Harris both have Michigan in their top group, and are set to visit Ann Arbor at the end of June. Additionally, 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong recently cast a Crystal Ball in Michigan’s favor for four-star linebacker Jayvant Brown (FL).
On the defensive line, Michigan is aiming big with five-star pass rusher Nyckoles Harbor (DC). They are in a battle with some prominent schools such as USC, Georgia, and LSU. The Trojans in particular are an emerging threat for Harbor, as new head coach Lincoln Riley has brought new life into the program and capitalized on the NIL game.
Some additional options include an intriguing three-star pass rusher in Joseph Mupoyi (DC), along with top-50 pass rusher Jason Moore (MD), four-star edge Enow Etta (TX), four-star pass rusher Jaxon Howard (MN), four-star defensive tackle Xzavier McLeod (SC), four-star defensive tackle John Walker (FL) and three-star tackle Saadiq Clements (KY). Just predicting two edge rushers at the moment, but it would not be surprising to see Michigan take more than that.
Prediction: Michigan lands LB Raylen Wilson, LB Andrew Harris and LB Michael Harris, along with EDGE Nyckoles Harbor, EDGE Joseph Mupoyi, DL Brooks Bahr, and DL Saadiq Clements.
