Projecting Michigan Football’s 2023 recruiting class
By Kyler Kregel
Offensive Linemen
Currently, the Wolverines do not have any commitments from offensive linemen in this class, though they remain in contention for a handful of promising players, such as five-star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor (IA), five-star offensive tackle Samson Okunlola (MA), four-star offensive tackle Cayden Green (MO), and four-star offensive tackle Charles Jagusah (IL). The Wolverines are also making a strong pitch to pull top-100 tackle Spencer Fano out of Utah.
On the interior the Wolverines do lead on the 247 Crystal Ball for in-state guard Amir Herring, but there has been some inconsistency on how interested the Wolverines actually are. Additionally, three-star center Landon Hatchett (WA) could be a very strong addition. His brother plays for the in-state Huskies, but Michigan has built up a very good relationship with the West Coast prospect already.
Proctor is the biggest name of the bunch, ranking as a top-10 prospect overall, however, it’s an uphill fight on the first four of the the tackles mentioned above. If they miss out those top ranked players, they have some very promising options to fallback on, such as a couple of three-star tackles in Evan Link (DC) and Christopher Terek (IL), along with unranked tackle Logan Howland (NJ).
Prediction: Michigan football lands OT Spencer Fano, OT Christopher Terek, OT Logan Howland, G Amir Herring and C Landon Hatchett.
