10. Spencer Petras-Iowa

In my opinion, Petras is one of the worst QBs in the Big Ten, and the only reason Iowa wins as many games as they do is because of their always-stout defense.

Check this statline from last year and you’ll see my point: 1,880 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

See what I mean? Really pedestrian stats from a starting QB, as Petras did have to split starting duties with Alex Padilla down the line last year, including in the Big Ten Championship game against Michigan last year, but still.

Iowa is not known for really having great QB play, as they always get by with their offensive lines and defenses, but even still, that statline is bad for a solid program like Iowa.

9. Tanner Morgan-Minnesota

If Tanner Morgan can get back to his 2019 version, Minnesota will have a better season than last year, and Tanner would be a lot higher on this list.

They already have a top-3 running back duo in the Big Ten and one of the best duo’s in the country, in Mohamed Ibrahim and Treyson Potts, who both got hurt last year, so if Tanner can get back to his ’19 version, Minnesota will at least be better.
