Michigan football has two of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten and here’s where they compare to the rest of the league’s quarterbacks.

Now that we are starting to slowly count down the days until football season starts, it’s time to break down the best Big Ten starting quarterbacks.

We still have a few months until we will know more about some of these quarterbacks as some of them are new in the conference (three) but based on past results, we can at least infer.

Without further ado, here we go ranking the Big Ten’s starting quarterbacks:

14. Gavin Wimsatt-Rutgers

To be honest, there’s not too much to talk about here. I’d put my money on Gavin Wimsatt starting because he has the most talent and upside on the roster, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Noah Vedral won the starting job.

My money is on Gavin, but we’ll see. Besides having a decent game against Michigan football last year in Ann Arbor (which I’d call an anomaly) the rest of the season was forgetful for Noah Vedral.

13. Ryan Hillinski-Northwestern

People might look at Northwestern and think they are due for a resurgence after 3-9 a season, as that has happened to them the last 5-6 years, but this year, I think they repeat with another subpar season.

I just can’t see Northwestern being that great, especially with Hillinski as the QB. He does have potential, as he wasn’t actually terrible last year, but Northwestern is bad overall. Hillinski would at least be an average QB in a better offense with more talent around him. He also has bad bouts of inconsistency. He is on a bad Northwestern team so he is #13 on the list.
