Courtney Ramey

Another player hoping to get drafted is Texas guard Courtney Ramey who entered the draft and the transfer portal after four seasons with Texas.

Ramey didn’t get an invite to the NBA Draft Combine so that doesn’t bode well for his chance to get drafted. He entered the draft process last season and withdrew and leading up to the draft, a number of college programs were in touch with him.

Michigan basketball wasn’t one of them. But if he decides to play another season of college basketball, the Wolverines should contact him. After four seasons with Texas, he should be able to come to Ann Arbor as a graduate and he’s known as a strong defender.

Ramey had a number of elite programs after him and that’s because he averages 10 points a game for his career as well as 1.5 3-point makes per game and shoots the deep ball at 36 percent for his career.

The Wolverines haven’t shown interest or been mentioned, so it’s a longshot, but he’s the kind of three-and-D player Michigan basketball needs. And until Houstan or Diabate make a decision, they technically don’t have a spot to offer anyone.
