Elite skill talent

We have heard for years that Michigan football hasn’t had a wide receiver, running back, quarterback, or tight end drafted in the first or second round of the NFL draft in over a decade.

It’s pretty crazy when you think about it. However, that stat will come to an end after this season because Michigan football is loaded with skill guys.

Blake Corum is one of the best running backs in the country and he’s going to have to work hard to hold off former five-star Donovan Edwards for the starting job. Both are going to get plenty of touches regardless and they are the best RB tandem in college football for my money.

Erick All could be playing in the NFL next season. There’s a good chance he would have been a day-two pick in the 2022 draft but he’s back and he could be a top-50 selection.

Cornelius Johnson is going to be a future pro at wide receiver and you could also say the same thing about Ronnie Bell, Andrel Anthony, Roman Wilson, A.J. Henning, and even Darrius Clemons. It might be too early for Clemons but he’s got as much talent as any wideout on the roster.

The Wolverines have numerous threats to get deep and a bunch of guys who can do wonders with yards after the catch. Henning feels like he’s going to have a breakout season and Anthony is too. Plus, Ronnie Bell is back, and frankly, it’s going to be hard to feed all those mouths.

One thing for sure is that the skill positions aren’t lacking in talent anymore.
