1,000-yard rusher and receiver

People talk about breakout candidates all the time. Well, as far as Michigan football is concerned for the 2022 season, Andrel Anthony is going to break out.

Donovan Edwards is going to as well. He’s going to get well over 1,000 total yards this season for the Wolverines but Blake Corum is also going to get a lot of carries. Corum is one of the five best running backs in the country in my book and he’ll get 1,000 yards after just falling short of the mark last season.

Corum and Edwards should see the ball a ton this season, both as runners and receivers, but I also believe that Anthony’s breakout campaign could lead to the first 1,000-yard season for a Wolverine since 2013.

Cornelius Johnson, Erick All, A.J. Henning, Clemons, Roman Wilson, and all the weapons at the disposal of offensive coordinators Sherrone Moore and Matt Weiss (co-OC) are the biggest barrier to Anthony or someone reaching 1,000 yards receiving.

But Anthony is a big play waiting to happen and we are going to see what happened against Michigan State, happen against a few teams this year. He’ll emerge as the true No. 1 in my book and the production is going to look like it did when Michigan football regularly sent wide receivers to the NFL early in the draft.
