Here are five opponents that Michigan football should try to get on the schedule.

Around this time last year I wrote an article about five opponents Michigan football should play that the Wolverines either hadn’t ever played, or hadn’t played in a long, long time.  These games would either be neutral site or home-and-home games. Almost all of the opponents last year would make for must-see TV if Michigan football were to schedule them.

Last year, I listed Boise State, Clemson, Georgia, Iowa State, and LSU as opponents that I wanted to see Michigan face. Funny thing is, one of my wishes came true, as Michigan got to play Georgia in the College Football Playoff this past season in a neutral site game at the Orange Bowl.

Although the result of that game wasn’t what any of us wanted, playing SEC opponents is very hard, as the conference pretty much dominates any team or other conference when it comes to meaningful games. It just means more down south. Can’t do much about it.

So now that Michigan football was able to at least play one opponent from my last list, what about more future opponents?  Here are five more future opponents I’d love to see the Wolverines play. Oh, and there are a few rules I made for this article.

First, I tried not to pick two opponents from the exact same conference, as that would be a little redundant, and second, I picked at least one opponent not from a major Group of Five (just like last future opponent’s article with Boise State) that offered intrigue in some way.

Ok, now that we have that settled, onto the future opponents:
