Michigan Football’s Hassan Haskins gets selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans.

There goes Hassan! Ladies and gentleman, Hassan Haskins is officially off the board, as he went 131 to the Titans.

From being a forgotten recruit in the class of 2018 (the same class as Aidan Hutchinson by the way), Hassan left an invaluable and underrated stamp on the Michigan football program forever.

His highlights include his hurdle against Nebraska, his hurdle against Ohio State, and his 169-yard performance for the ages against the Buckeyes. Ahh, Hassan, one of my personal favorite Michigan running backs of the last decade, at least.

Scouting Report for Hassan Haskins

I wrote a scouting report a few months ago on him here, but what he will bring to the NFL and, specifically, to the Titans is toughness and the ability to fight for those extra yards after contact.

Hassan almost never went down upon immediate contact at the line of scrimmage at Michigan, and he always fell forward, and I expect that to continue in the NFL. He will really make his money on third down and short yardage situations, and goal-line handoffs.

Also, he was very durable during his career at Michigan, and everybody knows how often injuries occur at the NFL level, so that is another box he checks.

He had the most bench reps at the NFL combine, so he is the strongest running back in the entire draft, so strength definitely shouldn’t be an issue, even with the jump up in competition.

He also never fumbles the football, no matter how many times he got hit, as he had 443 snaps since 2019 with no fumbles, so he doesn’t fumble the football.

Lastly, he is very valuable on passing downs, which might be his most underrated trait in the NFL, as he always knows where to identify the linebacker, chip him, or block him out of the play to give the QB enough time to throw. The NFL is a passing-heavy league, so that will be one of his calling cards, and what could get him on the field early.

We all wish Hassan all the best in the NFL because he is a dog, a guy that does that dirty work to help a team win, and I know he’ll fit right in with the Tennessee Titans. Go Blue!
