Michigan basketball head coach Juwan Howard is once again the subject of NBA rumors. But here are three reasons why you don’t need to worry.

Being a fan of Michigan athletics definitely has its perks, with the school being very competitive in a lot of different sports and the spotlight being on its teams quite often, but sometimes, the spotlight has its drawbacks, especially when the head coach of some of these teams is easily recognizable and one of the biggest faces of Michigan athletics.

Such is the case with Juwan Howard, the Michigan basketball coach, who, behind Jim Harbaugh, is easily the most recognizable coach at Michigan (he might actually be the most recognizable now because of the slap heard ’round the world’ against Wisconsin).

When you are a guy that has as much experience as Juwan, both as a player (having played 19 seasons in the NBA), and as a coach (he is the coach of Michigan, but he was also an assistant coach with the Miami Heat before this job), chances are, teams are going to want you.

This brings us to the latest annual rumor of Juwan Howard possibly making the jump to the NBA (sigh) this time rumored to a certain Western Conference team with a certain superstar player on it that just missed the playoffs in a massive letdown season off epic proportions.

Just like Jim Harbaugh has been rumored to the pros, so has Juwan Howard. Jim Harbaugh actually gave us a scare this time, by nearly accepting the Minnesota Vikings job. There are some key differences between Harbaugh and Howard’s situation, and here are three reasons why I don’t think Juwan Howard will leave Michigan (as if I should even need to write this in the first place).
