2022 Signing Class

This Michigan hockey signing class is a big one with 13 commits. This class is loaded, but they’re young. Most of the signees are draft-eligible in either 2022 or 2023.

Some standouts come from the US National Team Development Program, like Frank Nazar, Rutger McGroarty, Seamus Casey, and Hunter Brzustewicz. All of them are expected to be high draft picks. Let’s not forget about the Fantilli brothers coming from the Chicago Steel.

We have seen how well Chicago Steel alumni fit into the Michigan Hockey team, aka Brendan Brisson, Owen Power, and Mackie Samoskevich. I think both Adam and Luca Fantilli are going to make just as big of an impact as those three.

Those are just a few of the standouts, but this class is a good one. Yes, this signing class is young. But they sure are talented and have immense potential within this team. The future is bright for them

Safe to say, this Michigan team is going to look very different come the 2022-2023 season. However, there is a bright future ahead for them and Michigan hockey fans have a lot to look forward to especially if head coach Mel Pearson returns.

Big congratulations to the 2021-2022 team for an amazing and memorable season. They have a lot to be proud of. Best of luck to those moving onto their professional careers, and as always, Go Blue!!!
