Prediction #4: Darius Clemons has the biggest reception of the day

Coming into a season where the Wolverines see nearly all of their skill position players return, you’d think there isn’t much of an opportunity for a young frosh to shine early. Well, if that is the case, then you haven’t met Darius Clemons.

Clemons according to all accounts has had an excellent spring practice period, and as an early enrollee, has had an opportunity to work with J.J. McCarthy — before his shoulder injury — and with Cade McNamara. He has quickly shined as a player who will challenge not only for reps in his first year but for a starting role as a wide-out.

Standing 6’3 and weighing in at a little over 200lbs, Clemons might not have a field day, but should really test these young Michigan defensive backs.

Though players like the aforementioned Will Johnson will give him problems, expect Clemons to get the better of his matchup at least once.

With the top-end speed he showed in high school, coupled with that height and size, he is the best bet to have the “wow” play of the day.
