2. The wide receiver unit is overloaded with talent

There was no No. 1 option in Ronnie Bell as he is still recovering from his injury, but the young wideouts made a statement in his absence with some highlight catches.

Freshman Darrius Clemons had himself a quality outing with three grabs for 52 yards and a nifty layout touchdown catch from Alan Bowman, not to mention a completed pass on a trick play.

Amarion Walker had a long play reeled in from Davis Warren who showcased his skills in front of the crowd. Warren will likely fight it out with Bowman and possibly freshman Alex Orji for the third spot on the depth chart at quarterback.

Orji got an extended look late in the affair and used his feet to pick up some significant gains on the ground.

Cornelius Johnson and A.J. Henning caught a few balls thrown their way in the early going of things.

The broadcasters mentioned how the offensive staff wants to use Henning in a Deebo Samuel type of role this coming fall. As for Roman Wilson and Andrel Anthony, they didn’t have their names called in the passing game.
