Limit turnovers

I could say feed Hunter as the last key, but we all know that is a given at this point. Villanova doesn’t have the size to stop Hunter, so I’m not concerned about that. The issue is the constant turnovers. That’s the one thing that could hold Michigan back from making a Final Four run.

If Michigan had even half the turnovers against Colorado State and Tennessee, they’d have beat CSU and Tennessee by 20+ points. Unfortunately, that’s not what’s happening. The law of averages has to go in Michigan’s favor one game right? Michigan won’t turn it over 15+ times every game right?

Fans aren’t asking for zero turnovers per game. They are asking for like a third of the turnovers. Bring it down from 15 to 10 turnovers a game. A lot of these turnovers are just a lack of focus. Rushing sets, lazy passes, and lack of concentration. No more of that. Let’s see a game for once with 10 or fewer turnovers (probably asking for too much here, but we can dream).

The new orange basketball being used by the NCAA might be partly to blame, but we all know, Michigan has had turnover issues all season, so that might just be a cop-out.

Overall, Villanova is one of the most experienced teams in the country. That makes them as dangerous, or more dangerous than Tennessee. They are a tremendous FT shooting team and are one of the best crunch-time closing teams in the country. This doesn’t even include the coaching of Jay Wright.

dark. Next. 3 reasons Michigan will beat Villanova

This will definitely be a very tight game.  Will probably come down to the wire. Michigan shouldn’t want it any other way. Here’s to hoping for another shot at an Elite Eight birth. Whatever happens, Go Blue!
