Elijah Pierre

Defensive tackle Elijah Pierre transferred to Michigan as a fifth-year senior in 2020. In two seasons, Pierre only played in one game for the Wolverines against Northern Illinois. However, he totaled 26 tackles in his 18 games with Brown University.

Pierre competed in all six drills at Michigan’s pro day in order to show what he is capable of as he did not play any meaningful snaps in his time at Michigan. Pierre’s results at the Pro Day were average compared to other defensive tackles’ NFL Combine results.

In the bench press, Pierre finished with 20 reps which is right in the middle compared to the defensive tackles at the NFL Combine. In the speed drills, Pierre ran a 5.44-second 40-yard dash, a 7.77-second cone drill, and a 4.67-second 20-yard shuttle. Pierre jumped 25.5 inches in the vertical jump and eight feet and seven inches in the broad jump.

Although none of these results are significantly better than other defensive tackle prospects, they show that Pierre has the speed, strength, and agility that the other tackles possess. Pierre is not currently projected in any mock drafts, however, he might find himself getting picked up after the draft.
