Michigan Football: Breaking down former Wolverines’ Pro Day results
By Kylie Piazza
Daylen Baldwin
Wide receiver Daylen Baldwin transferred to Michigan football his senior year and despite not being a go-to wide receiver, had five starts in his 14 games played with the Wolverines. He totaled 17 receptions and two touchdowns– one against Western Michigan and the other against WIsconsin.
At Michigan’s Pro Day, Baldwin had a pretty average showing compared to how other receivers looked at the NFL combine. He had an impressive 16 reps in the bench press, however only 3 receivers participated in this drill at the combine.
When it came to the speed drills, Baldwin had very central results compared to those of receivers at the combine. He ran a 4.65 second 40-yard dash, a 7.23 second 3-cone drill, and a 4.39 second 20-yard shuttle. Baldwin’s 34.5-inch vertical jump and 10-foot broad jump were also in the middle of the results of other wide receivers.
While none of his Pro Day results specifically stood out, Baldwin is a solid athlete who will hopefully catch some NFL attention late in the draft or as an undrafted free agent.
