Dax Hill

Safety Dax Hill had the most impressive times of any safety in the three-cone drill and the 20-yard shuttle at the NFL Combine, causing his speed to not be a question coming into Michigan’s Pro day.

That being said, his results in both the vertical jump and broad jump at the combine were below average compared to other safeties, so he tried and succeeded in bettering these results at Michigan’s Pro Day.

While jumping only 33.5 inches in the vertical jump at the Combine, Hill increased this to 37 inches at Michigan’s Pro Day, tying for the fourth best jump of any safety at the combine. He also managed to increase his broad jump by one inch to 10 feet and 2 inches, which is still on the lower end of other safeties’ results.

While his speed has never been in question, Hill’s significant improvement on one of his two jumps in just a couple of weeks is proof enough that he is able and willing to improve in areas he struggles in. This will hopefully be a promising feature to NFL teams that will solidify Hill’s selection in the first round.
