3. Michigan is finally living up to its lofty preseason hype

It took longer than anyone would have wanted, but Juwan Howard’s guys are maximizing their limitless potential. The regular season didn’t go as planned and neither did the Big Ten tournament. Things looked NIT bleak, but now the Wolverines are making up for it with a trip to the second weekend of the most popular sporting event in our nation.

Eli Brooks would not let his teammates surrender. He had some clutch moments in the win. Hunter Dickinson tied his head coach for the most points through the first two contests of the tournament with 48. The duo combined for 50 of Michigan’s 76 points in Michigan’s home away from home of Indianapolis.

Next for Juwan Howard is another shot to advance to the elite eight, which he has done every year he has been at Michigan as a player or coach.

He’ll have to go through the Big East tournament champs or a very familiar foe (Ohio State) they could see again in a rubber match. Whomever it is, the maize and blue will be waiting in the wings to keep this amazing march going all the way to New Orleans.
