3. Juwan Howard’s embattled group proved the committee right today

Some Texas A&M fans were chirping on social media about how lousy the first half went for Michigan. They were silenced when all was said and done, however.

Michigan basketball made their intentions known after being criticized for their sketchy record and backing into the field last weekend.

Colorado State’s big men were too undersized to match Michigan’s two twin towers. They did a commendable job on Moussa Diabate though, who was the only starter without double digits in scoring.

71 of Michigan’s 75 points came from the starters. There’s no doubt that Michigan’s reserves will have to contribute more on Saturday if they intend to advance to the sweet 16.

Let’s face it though Colorado State was a favorable draw for the Wolverines and they made that statement come to light.

The next round against Tennessee will be a lot more difficult. The Vols are on a roll right now and going to be a hard matchup for the maize and blue on Saturday as they have guys who clash better with Michigan’s lineup.
