2024 QB C.J. Carr (MI)

While the Wolverines look to be behind the Irish in the race for five-star QB Dante Moore in the 2023 quarterback hunt, Michigan appears to be the leader for the grandson of Lloyd Carr in the class of 2024.

Ranked as a top-50 player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Carr is quite familiar with the program between the family ties and several visits.

Quarterbacks on average tend to commit sooner than a handful of other positions, and so while 2024 recruits have a long timetable ahead of them to make their decisions, Carr’s ties to the program and the Wolverines clear interest in Carr make him one to watch to pull the trigger earlier than expected.

2023 OL Cayden Green (MO)

Michigan football hosted a couple of offensive lineman last weekend as well, with Cayden Green (MO) and Sam Pendleton (NC) visiting the Wolverines.

Michigan jumped out to an early lead with Pendleton, but has seen some increased competition after the Clemson Tigers got in the mix. The Wolverines appear to be in better position currently to land Green, who I discussed as a must-land prospect for the Wolverines this cycle.

Green is a top-100 prospect on the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the Wolverines main competition here appears to be the Oklahoma Sooners.

What is notable here is that Green has now visited Ann Arbor twice this year, visiting back in January as well this past weekend.

dark. Next. 5 defenders ready for a big leap

Two visits in such short order from an out-of-state prospect is usually a pretty good sign of significant interest. Green would be a major win for Sherrone Moore, who is in line for more responsibilities with the Wolverines offense.
