Rod Moore

Formerly a three-star recruit, Rod Moore proved that stars don’t always matter as he was one of the most impactful freshmen in the entire 2021 recruiting class.

Moore, who is from Ohio, had nine stops in the win over Ohio State and started four games for Michigan football at safety and finished with 32 total stops.

The Buckeyes didn’t show much interest in Moore when he was in high school and while he wasn’t a huge name when he signed with the Wolverines, you could tell he was going to be a player.

Moore is explosive and he’s a tough hitter. He’s dealing with some injuries right now and isn’t currently taking part in spring ball but he should be healthy this fall and I fully expect him to be one of the best starting safeties in the Big Ten.

Keon Sabb is a guy to watch at safety and R.J Moten looks ready to be a full-time starter too but I believe everything starts with Rod Moore at safety this fall.

The 6-foot, 173-pounder made 32 tackles a year ago and my bet is that he gets close to 100 in 2022, as well as an interception or two.
