2. Andrel Anthony

Sophomore wide receiver Andrel Anthony is another logical choice for this list. Anthony was very underrated as a recruit and is much faster than people expected, as he showed last season against Michigan State.

That was a turning point. He still finished with just 12 receptions for 248 yards but he caught three touchdowns, with the last one coming against Georgia, and averaged 20.8 yards per reception.

Anthony is what a top-flight wide receiver should look like and he passes the eye test. There is just something explosive about him and I can’t wait to see what he does for an encore to last season.

The receiver room is crowded. Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, Roman Wilson, and A.J. Henning all want and should receive touches, plus freshman Darrius Clemons has turned heads during spring practices and could also work his way into the mix.

But Anthony just seems special and it wouldn’t surprise me if he put together a 1,000-yard season before his time in Ann Arbor is through. That might not happen in 2022, but he’ll get close in the 700-800 yard range and my guess is around 6-8 touchdowns.
