Harbaugh: “State of the program is strong”
One thing that Harbaugh said is that the Michigan football program is in a strong place. He also heaped some enormous praise on defensive end Mike Morris, who he said could be the next Aidan Hutchinson or David Ojabo.

Morris is a guy who is projected to start for Michigan football and we said he’s a guy to watch at the EDGE position that Hutchinson played last season. He could be a five-technique too but he’s an outstanding run defender and excelled as an interior pass rusher last season.
He’s going to be fun to watch but Morris isn’t the only Michigan football player Harbaugh mentioned on Tuesday. Another was Trente Jones, who Harbaugh declared was the leader at right tackle.

The offensive line was one of the position battles that we mentioned on the offensive side of the ball over the weekend and Jones is one of the guys we mentioned.
He was a high-ranking recruit and started to get some playing time at the end of the last season. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if he earned a starting job, just that it could mean that Karsen Barnhart might be the No. 6 guy again which shows Michigan’s incredible depth upfront.
Harbaugh also confirmed Mike Sainristil moving to defense but said that he will also continue his role on offense and will be a two-way player for Michigan football.
Harbaugh confirms that wide receiver Mike Sainristil is getting reps at corner and nickel. Says he could be a two-way player “or maybe even a three-way player.”

And then there was some classic Harbaugh:

The jackhammer is indeed back and that’s a great thing for Michigan football.
