Recruiting impact

Robinson played for Michigan football over a decade ago, but he still has a very large presence. His plays and performances are well known and his picture being on the cover of the NCAA Football doesn’t hurt either.

Plus, Robinson played in the NFL for a few years and with all that he meant to Michigan football, he’s going to be a great ambassador and the perfect person to sell the Wolverines and the University of Michigan to recruits.

Recruiting experts around the beat are also excited about the move. Here’s the reaction from Brice Marich:

And also EJ Holland of The Wolverine said this will be, “Absolutely HUGE for recruiting.”

There is a ton of buzz about this move because Denard Robinson is going to be able to sell Michigan football and it’s not a coincidence that he’s from the state of Florida, where the Wolveriners would love to get more involved, and have made a stronger push in recent years.

It’s being reported he will work with recruits on visits, and just having him as a face in the recruiting department is going to be huge for building those relationships, and honestly, outside of a Charles Woodson or Tom Brady, name another more high-profile former player that could serve in this role?

Robinson is going to do a great job and he will improve Michigan recruiting. There is no doubt about that.
