Michigan basketball has another huge challenge facing it on Sunday at Wisconsin and here are the odds, a prediction, and how to watch.

After a clutch road win against Iowa on Thursday, Michigan basketball is back on the road for another very tough trip, this time to Madison and the Kohl Center.

The Wolverines won last year in Madison but it wasn’t easy and it never is. This Wisconsin team is pretty typical too and is still in the mix for a Big Ten title, while Michigan is just trying to find a way to play itself off the bubble.

Michigan is 8-6 in the Big Ten and 14-10 overall. The Wolverines need to win three of the last six to feel good about their position but quality wins over San Diego State, Purdue, Indiana (road), and Iowa (road) have certainly bolstered the resume.

Wisconsin provides another chance on Sunday to add a quadrant-1 win on the road. Greg Gard’s team is tough and has one of the best scorers in the Big Ten in Johnny Davis and the Big Ten’s biggest pest in Brad Davison who is having a career year shooting the ball.

You know it’s going to be a dog fight and here’s a look at the odds, as well as a prediction and how to watch Michigan basketball against Wisconsin.

Michigan basketball vs Wisconsin odds

The Wolverines are a three-point underdog coming into this matchup according to the odds from WynnBET. The over/under is 139 while the money line is -150 for Wisconsin and +125 for Michigan.

Michigan basketball vs Wisconsin prediction

Call me crazy but I feel pretty good about how the Wolverines matchup against the Badgers in this one. Johnny Davis is a concern. Michigan needs to slow him down and force him to work to get his 20 points or so.

Outside of Davis, there isn’t anyone on this Wisconsin roster that’s scary. There isn’t a single top-100 recruit on it and that includes Davis who is averaging 20 points per game. Davison is next at 14 followed by Tyler Wahl at 11.

The Badgers aren’t a great defensive team. They force turnovers and do a really good job of taking care of the ball but their 2-point defense is a weakness and Hunter Dickinson should thrive inside.

If Michigan is going to win, Dickinson needs to play like he did against Indiana or Purdue. He needs to come out firing and be a scorer because Wisconsin doesn’t double-team as much.

Eventually, if Dickinson is effective enough, those doubles will come and will create open looks outside for DeVante Jones, Eli Brooks and Caleb Houstan.

UMHoops had a nugget that Michigan is 11-2 when making at least six 3-pointers and that seems like a key stat for Sunday. But as I said, I think this matchup favors Michigan and that Wolverines will get another huge road win, 74-70.
