Projecting Michigan Football’s depth chart ahead of spring ball
Offensive line
Starters (From left to right): Ryan Hayes, Trevor Keegan, Olusegun Oluwatimi, Zak Zinter, Karsen Barnhart; Backups: Trente Jones, Reece Atteberry, Greg Crippen, Jeffrey Persi
When it comes to the offensive line, Michigan football is once again, loaded with talent. While the Wolverines are technically graduating two starters, Andrew Vastardis and Andrew Stueber, Karsen Barnhart played a lot last season and he should step in at right tackle just fine.
Assuming he can hold off Trente Jones who also earned some playing time last season and is at least good enough to be starting for the Wolverines.
Olusegun Oluwatimi being added to the transfer portal was genius and gives Michigan football one of the best players from the portal at a position of need.
Haskins is gone but with this offensive line, Michigan football is going to ground teams into dust. Almost every opponent will be overmatched and the physical, dominating run game we saw last season shouldn’t skip a beat.
Frankly, I have a hard time seeing any offensive line in the Big Ten being better than this one, which like last season, will have seven starting-caliber players on it.
