S Keon Sabb

Michigan football put together an impressive haul in the secondary which featured four guys rated as four-star recruits.

Johnson is the headliner but Keon Sabb, Zeke Berry, and Kody Jones are also ranked highly and three-star Myles Pollard is way underrated.

This is probably the best group of defensive backs that Jim Harbaugh has signed as head coach of Michigan football and with Steve Clinkscale to aid in their development, this class should be very productive.

We already talked about Johnson but Sabb is another freshman defensive back who could start next season for Michigan football.

The Wolverines lost both starting safeties in Hill and Brad Hawkins. Rod Moore played really well as a freshman last season and seems in line for one of the jobs. R.J. Moten is another strong candidate to start.

Moten played quite a bit in sub-packages when Hill came in, although he didn’t play as many snaps later in the year, in part because of the emergence of Moore.

Sabb is a top-100 prospect that was committed to Clemson for a long time but flipped to the Wolverines. He’s enrolled early and he’s another guy to watch in spring ball. Like Hill, he can do a lot of different things and that might just get him on the field early in Ann Arbor.
