3. Michigan is peaking with Michigan State forthcoming

The maize and blue are on their first three-game winning streak of the season after dispatching a trio of Big Ten foes. They found themselves in the Illinois loss and have been a completely different team since then. Their defense, 3-point shooting, and all-around effort have been light years better from where they were earlier in the schedule.

They may have taken Northwestern for granted, or just didn’t want to come back down from that supernova high that they experienced on Sunday in Bloomington. Regardless they got the job done and are on to the next challenge that awaits them on their current Big Ten doomsday slate.

Michigan will wrap up this month with and all of a sudden can’t miss, tournament type of contest. The Wolverines will drive the short distance to the Breslin Center and face a squad that lost to Northwestern on that same court two weeks to the day.

Michigan State is favored, but if Michigan plays as they have lately, then they can do the deed and earn the bragging rights until they reschedule the second meeting that was postponed a few weeks back.
