Hunter Dickinson: B-

It wasn’t a bad game for Hunter Dickinson but he was a little off. The two offensive fouls didn’t help and that seemed to add to his frustration. He then got another foul on a defensive rebound.

At the start of the game though, the Wolverines did a solid job of playing through Dickinson and he notched two assists even though he had the lowest rating of any starter (0.90).

Still, when he came back in during the final minutes, you could see his value.

Moussa Diabate: B-

Moussa Diabate continues to grow as a player and he was productive when he was on the floor. Obviously, five fouls in 22 minutes are way too many but those officials also called a ton of fouls so it’s hard to fault him for that too much.

He played the best defense of any starter and has really become a weapon for the Wolverines as a guy who can guard people like Pete Nance. He also grabbed seven rebounds and has found a way to play alongside Hunter Dickinson, although it took a minute.

Brandon Johns: F

After the Indiana game, it seemed like Brandon Johns would turn a corner. Instead, he ended up playing just seven minutes and didn’t go back in after he had an issue with his shoe and didn’t hustle back on a possession that ended in three points for the Wildcats.

When Johns is focused and playing hard, he can be a weapon. But he’s never been reliable and even as a senior, continues to be way too up and down.

Jaron Faulds: A-

Jaron Faulds didn’t play a lot on Wednesday and few probably expected him to play in essentially a 50/50 game with about two minutes left but Juwan Howard went to him instead of Brandon Johns and he delivered a key assist to Houstan for essentially the winning three. He also got a big stop on defense but did miss two free throws.
