Negatives

While there is a lot to like about Hassan Haskins, he’s nowhere near a perfect tailback. He has his limitations. Athletically, Haskins’ breakaway speed is capped at just okay. He won’t ever really be able to break away from any other defenders for a long touchdown.

He doesn’t get around to the edges that great, as his lack of speed can cause him to get tackled almost immediately running horizontal rushing schemes. He’s an “in-between the tackles” kind of running back.

Haskins isn’t super shifty or sudden. He’s not going to juke out any defender. He’s not terrible at that, just a lot more often than not, the defender will be able to bring him down after he picks up a chunk play.

Lastly, although Haskin’s field vision is good, it’s not great. He sometimes runs through the wrong hole or gets tripped up before he could really get going, as his lack of elite speed can allow for defenders to catch up to him and tackle him from behind.
