5* OT Francis Mauigoa (FL)

Originally from American Samoa, Mauigoa is an imposing figure, standing at 6’5, 327 lbs. according to his On3 Recruiting Profile. He’s also ranked as their 18th ranked prospect, though some of the recruiting services differ as to whether Mauigoa is a tackle or guard at the next level.

247Sports analyst Greg Biggins even thinks Mauigoa could be an NFL caliber defensive lineman down the road as well, comparing him to former Oregon lineman Arik Armstead.

A very natural athlete for his size, Mauigoa is likely the highest-ranked offensive lineman the Wolverines are in contention for right now, with Alabama, USC, and Oregon also in hot pursuit.

USC recently brought in Texas A&M offensive line coach Josh Henson as their new offensive coordinator/offensive line coach, while Oregon hired Adrian Klemm from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Both are known as strong recruiters, and Alabama boasts a former NFL head coach in Doug Marrone as their offensive line coach. If Sherrone Moore can win this recruitment, it would be quite the feather in his cap.
