4* LB Tackett Curtis (LA)

There are no defensive backs currently on this list, largely because Michigan football absolutely crushed it with their defensive back additions in 2022.

Thus, the last name here is four-star linebacker Tackett Curtis, a native of Many, Louisiana. Standing at 6’2, 205 lbs, Curtis is a very promising defensive player, playing safety, linebacker, running back and returning kicks in high school.

At the next level, he projects to inside linebacker, and that’s why Michigan has had linebackers coach George Helow and defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald recruiting him, along with Louisiana native Ron Bellamy.

Many schools have taken interest in the top-100 recruit so far, but Michigan has already hosted Curtis on a visit which is a clear sign of interest from players down South.

Another strong season from the Wolverines in 2022 could help them add another Louisiana prospect, just a year after signing Amorion Walker.
