2. Caleb Houstan flashed a glimpse of his talents

The budding freshman hit the proverbial wall a while back and hasn’t really developed like just about anyone who knows anything about basketball would have thought.

Last night was arguably his best performance since the Nebraska win over a month ago. He shot 86% from the floor and 75% from beyond the arc.

The preseason All-American honors have not been there consistently enough, but it’s not far-fetched to believe that maybe he can turn it on down the stretch here.

It’s obvious that he has all the tools to do so. That’s unequivocally what the coaching staff signed up for when he declared to wear the maize and blue uniform for them this season.

The other highly touted first-year player of the historic recruiting class of 2021 is Moussa Diabate. He was the only Wolverine in foul trouble with four but did his part to contribute to the easy victory.

Another newbie who was impressive in the win was Frankie Collins. He made some noise during his 17 minutes of action.
