Charlie Partridge (Pittsburgh)

Partridge is currently the defensive line coach at Pittsburgh, under former Spartans defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi, a position he has held since 2017. His experience dates back further than that, however, originally making his name as a Wisconsin assistant under Bret Bielema, before joining him at Arkansas and eventually becoming head coach at Florida International University in 2014.

Things did not work at FIU for Partridge, as the Owls went just 9-27 over his three seasons in charge, ending in his dismissal after the 2016 season. However, he’s rebounded quite well, developing several quality players at Pittsburgh, notably a trio of drafted players this past NFL Draft, with edge rushers Patrick Jones and Rashad Weaver, and defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman.

Partridge is another solid recruiter, with extensive ties to the state of Florida. He notably was the lead recruiter for the Arkansas Razorbacks when they went down into Florida to land five-star running back Alex Collins back in 2013.
