The defense got completely neutralized by Stetson Bennett

The senior walk-on for Georgia proved once again that he can be the man to forge his team to a national championship. He bombarded the Michigan defense with balls that were on the money when they needed to be all night. He hit nine different receivers and kept Michigan’s defense out of the loop.

Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo were quiet and that’s because of Bennett’s decisions. He completed quick passes at the line of scrimmage that made Michigan’s pass rush ineffective. It was the perfect strategy to silence the best pass-rushing combination in the entire country and keep them sackless.

Michigan’s secondary did an admirable job on Brock Bowers besides a touchdown, but James Cook burned them for 112 yards.

Vincent Gray’s play will be questioned for a while, but Michigan’s defense really let them down when they were called upon the most. Only C.J. Stroud threw for more yards against this normally vaunted unit.
