The Orange Bowl hosted a joint meeting for the Media featuring Kirby Smart and Jim Harbaugh. This is the latest information we have on Daxton Hill and Harbaugh’s direct responses.

Harbaugh stated during a joint press conference on regards to Daxton Hill that,

"“[Daxton Hill] is going to be questionable.”"

Later adding in that he is

"“working through something right now, we’ll know more today.”"

Coach Harbaugh continues to leave a cliffhanger on the Daxton Hill situation in regards to if he is going to play or not. The good thing is that Daxton Hill was not ruled out of playing, meaning that our hypothesis that Daxton Hill most likely tested positive over the weekend, and was required to quarantine.

However, with the new CDC Guidelines, Daxton Hill only has to quarantine for 5 days compared to the previous 10 days. There was speculation that Daxton Hill made the trip yesterday and according to Jim’s response. Harbaugh did not exactly dismiss the rumors about that, he had this to say about the situation.

"“He is not currently in Florida. He’s not right now. He might be. He could be here today, maybe not.”"

In regards to Daxton Hill playing or not, I believe Harbaugh and company know exactly if he’s going to play or not, and they’re trying to keep it private from Kirby Smart and the media until right before game day to give the Bulldogs more to think about.

While I do not know for certain if this is good or bad, I perceive this as a good sign and I think that we will see Dax Hill play. This is not a meaningless game like when Jabrill Peppers did not risk getting more injured and didn’t play in the Orange Bowl against Florida State in 2016.

Next. Final predictions for the Orange Bowl. dark

The stakes are high, and it puts all the spotlight on Dax Hill, so unless he’s physically unable to play or CDC regulations don’t allow him for whatever reason I think he’s a go for the Orange Bowl. Again, this is just a prediction based on all the information we currently have. According to Harbaugh, we’ll have more information today hopefully.
