Michigan can play SEC style

All in all, Georgia is a solid matchup for Michigan. The Wolverines may not win the Orange Bowl or the College Football Playoff but they can beat the other three teams.

Michigan has a dominant offensive line, one that has depth too, as well as two of the best pass rushers in college football and a defensive front seven that’s underrated after those two stars.

Mazi Smith, Chris Hinton, Kris Jenkins Jr., Mike Morris — all those guys have played well on the defensive line, while Josh Ross and others have been stellar in man-ball situations.

The Wolverines will have to find a way to cover Georgia’s tight ends. The receivers could give Michigan issues too, as well as Georgia’s defensive backs. But a lot of times in these playoff games, it’s not the SEC speed that kills people, it’s the play in the trenches.

Georgia will maul you to death and Alabama has always been able to do the same, plus those teams can stop the run. They make you one-dimensional and it’s game over.

I’m not saying that won’t happen to Michigan, but I expect this to be a highly competitive game and the Wolverines brand of football is perfect to win this sort of game.
