3. Iowa was the foremost opponent from the Big Ten West

This is an overreaction because it really didn’t matter who won the West division. Michigan football is on a roll for the ages and would have likely steamrolled anybody from the opposite division.

Iowa was in over its head and Michigan took full advantage of it by staying aggressive and putting the stake through their hearts for the blowout victory.

Whether it was Iowa or Wisconsin, the Big Ten East champion is by far a superior division winner. That’s why I feel that winning the Ohio State contest was like winning the Big Ten outright.

It’s as clear as it can get that the Big Ten East is one of the, if not the toughest conference, in all of college football.

The Big Ten really needs to think about readjusting the divisions as soon as possible. It would make the conference, as a whole, that much better and give more respect to it on a national level.

Until then the East will reign supreme and this year is Michigan’s to boast all the bragging rights about.
