3. This team showed a new kind of energy

All season, we’ve seen a lethargic Michigan basketball team just try and get by all of their games. However, this afternoon we saw a Wolverines defense and offense work as a collective unit and play their best game of the season.

While this game comes later than we expected, it was much needed. The Wolverines were trending in an exponentially negative direction after their losses to Arizona and North Carolina. We touched on how the Wolverines lacked an identity and fortunately, I believe they found one.

Frankie Collins was playing like he had been the starter at point guard all along. I think Juwan has a lot to think about when it comes to who is going to lead this offense from now on, because that lineup that went on that 12-0 stretch with Collins, Terrance Williams, Hunter Dickinson, Houstan, and Eli Brooks was just absolutely magical.

We’ll see how the Wolverines follow up this fantastic performance, hopefully with another win. I would not expect them to be placed in the top 25 come next week.
