Michigan will force a mistake or two by Stroud

Over the last seven games, Stroud has been nearly perfect. He’s thrown for 28 touchdown passes and hasn’t been held under 300 yards passing.

I don’t expect Michigan football to hold him under 300 on Saturday. I also expect him to throw a few touchdown passes. Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who actually leads OSU in yards, have combined for 30 touchdown catches this season.

Michigan is better prepared to defend Ohio State. Macdonald will actually mix in different coverages and won’t send all-out blitzes leaving everyone in the secondary one-on-one.

Daxton Hill has played well this year but has been beaten in coverage a few times. DJ Turner has come on — Vincent Gray too. But Ohio State guys are going to get open and make plays.

But the pass rush should get to Stroud. Ohio State has allowed the second-fewest sacks in the Big Ten but Nebraska got to Stroud in Lincoln a few weeks ago sacking him twice and forcing two interceptions.

It can be done. The Wolverines have the pass rush and they will get to Stroud. Whether it’s a forced fumble or an interception, U-M will force the Heisman frontrunner into at least one turnover, but Michigan will probably need at least two to steal a win.
