Season Long Impact

I think the best thing to come out of this week was the notice that this team has a lot of room to grow.

The talent is undeniable and these players are collectively way too smart not to turn this around and get back closer to where we thought they could be.

I also think last year’s team spoiled expectations for this team in a way because the transfers just fit in immediately and the team had such great chemistry (and a softer non-conference schedule) that it could work through some of its issues but still win ball games.

This year’s team hasn’t quite jelled that way yet and roles are still being defined.

Head Coach Juwan Howard just received a lengthy contract extension for a reason though, and that is to bring all of the pieces together to create the best team possible.

Howard has more than earned the patience and benefit of the doubt here.

This team will get itself to where we expected it to be, it will just take some time.

Next. Takeaways, grades from win over Arizona. dark

For now, Go Blue, and let’s beat Ohio State.
