Freshman of the Week

Moussa Diabate continues his ascent up the depth chart as he posted another breakout performance.

With averages of 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and one block per night, it isn’t his raw numbers that win him this award, but the efficiency he has in his limited minutes.

In his only game this season logging more than 20 minutes, he had his lone double-digit scoring output (14 points) and his second-highest rebounding total of his young career (7).

As I said last week, once he truly figures out his role and learns to play within himself and the scheme, he will be an absolute weapon that will consistently create mismatches in Michigan’s favor.
