Grades

The report card isn’t going to be good but here are the grades for Arizona.

  • Eli Brooks — B: Brooks was the best player for Michigan. He scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds but didn’t have the best night on defense.
  • Hunter Dickinson — C: Dickinson made just 4 of 10 shots and while the lack of touches isn’t always his fault, he needed to be better on both ends. He felt invisible at times.
  • DeVante Jones — C-: He scored a couple of nice buckets and took better care of the ball but he lacks consistency and needs to quit with the dumb fouls.
  • Terrance Williams — C-: Terrance Williams missed both of his 3-pointers and didn’t add much on defense but did make two buckets and grabbed four rebounds. He battled but his jumper doesn’t seem much improved.
  • Moussa Diabate — D: Moussa was dominant against UNLV but couldn’t build on it against Arizona. He had three turnovers and four fouls. The talent is there but Sunday was a learning experience.
  • Brandon Johns — D: Johns scored seven points but was 3 of 7 and turned the ball over twice. His defense was weak too.
  • Frankie Collins — D: Collins had some good moments when he entered the game. He can get to the bucket but he made rookie mistakes and doesn’t look ready for a big role.
  • Kobe Bufkin — D: I wondered why Bufkin didn’t play more early on. He added to the shooting woes but is still one of Michigan’s best players on the bounce.
  • Caleb Houstan — F: The kid has to start making 3-pointers. It’s as simple as that. He was 2-of-8 and that was his best shooting night in the last three games.
