1. Donovan Edwards had his breakthrough performance

A lot of people have been wondering when coach Harbaugh would take the training wheels off of his highly-touted freshman running back.

Well, the eleventh game of the season turned out to be the answer.

Donovan Edwards had himself an outing that he soon won’t forget in his young career wearing the maize and blue. Edwards got to showcase his talents with a personal high of 10 receptions for 170 yards. The highlight came on a 77-yard score in which McNamara hit him in stride so he could not be tackled, nor be stopped. He added in three rushes but didn’t have to do much there because Haskins was so effective as the lead back.

Blake Corum was dressed but didn’t have to play because it was clear that they didn’t need him. Rest assured that if was able to give it a go today, then he should be a full go next week unless something drastically changes during prep time.

In the meanwhile, having Edwards shine like he did today only adds fuel on the fire that is Michigan’s offense.
