Michigan football needs to get one more win to possibly play for the Big Ten East title next week and Maryland is standing in the way. Here are three predictions.

The Michigan football team is on the road for the second straight week as the Wolverines head to Maryland for their 11th game of the season.

Michigan comes in at 9-1 and ranked sixth in the College Football Playoff rankings. This game can help keep the Wolverines on track there and in the race for the Big Ten East.

A win would also give the Wolverines their fourth 10-win season under Jim Harbaugh in six full seasons. Maryland (5-5) is looking to wrap up a bowl bid and Mike Locksley could use a win over a team like Michigan.

Maryland does have a talented quarterback in former Alabama transfer Taulia Tagovailoa, as well as some talented pass catchers, but Maryland is also dealing with tons of injuries.

The Terps have an explosive offense and are fifth in the Big Ten in scoring. Yet, they have also struggled to score against better defenses. The Maryland defense also struggles and is 13th in the conference in scoring defense.

Making matters worse is that Maryland ranks 13th in the league in rushing yards allowed and 12th in passing yards allowed. So there really is no strength. But it’s a November road game against a dynamic quarterback, which means you just never know.

We break it all down and throw down three bold predictions for Michigan football vs Maryland.
