2. Is Frankie Collins as advertised?

I understand that this is only game two of the season. This game will 100% not make or break Frankie Collins freshman season, but there has been a lot of hype regarding him making a big impact in just his freshman year.

You can expect Frankie to get plenty of playing time against Prairie View A&M with some of the other bench players. Frankie played only seven minutes against Buffalo in garbage time only putting up one shot, which he missed.

Frankie was able to move the ball down the court quickly though, which is something we’re not used to in Ann Arbor. Typically, U-M point guards such as Zavier Simpson and Mike Smith were very methodic with bringing the ball down the court. Having a point guard that wants to go fast can work to our advantage or against us.

If Frankie Collins balls out against Prairie View A&M, you’ll also see him get more minutes. He’d be a fantastic player to throw in to at different times throughout the game to catch the defense sleeping on Michigan basketball’s tempo.
