September 11th, Washington Huskies

This was a game that was marked on a lot of folk’s calendars. This was not just a typical football game. People expected this game to really show where Michigan’s rushing game really stacked up against a very good rushing defense.

This was one of the most hyped games of the week, teeing up on primetime at the Big House. Sure enough, Michigan displayed a dominant force against the Huskies and ran all over them like they did Western Michigan.

Washington currently has a 4-5 record and is struggling to stay afloat in Pac-12 play. Do not let the record fool you, Washington just played a top 3 school, Oregon to the wire, and barely came out with a loss.

All of Washington’s losses this season (excluding Michigans) have been within10 points. The Huskies are starting to trend up as shown against Oregon. Even though they allowed big numbers on the ground, they allowed Oregon to less than 100 passing yards.

Washington has a top 30 total defense in the country and is climbing. If or when their offense can get up to pace, they could end the year off strong with a few wins and go above .500 real easily.

The Huskies have a game coming up against Arizona State, this will tell us if we should/shouldn’t overshadow the Washington win.
