Michigan will win at least one conference crown

There are a number of threats to Michigan basketball’s chances of winning a second straight Big Ten championship and Purdue might be the biggest, although Ohio State and Illinois are right there.

Michigan State is another team that could be in the mix but Tom Izzo is going to have to do a stellar coaching job, which he’s very capable of doing.

The Spartans open the season as No. 22 in the Kenpom rankings and there are eight Big Ten teams total ranked in the top 31.

The unbalanced schedule can play a factor as the Wolverines are slated to play those teams 12 times, while Purdue will play those same teams 10 times.

That’s going to make winning an outright Big Ten title a little more challenging. Michigan still has the team to do it and whether it’s a co-championship or a Big Ten tournament title, I just have a feeling that Hunter Dickinson is going to win another championship before leaving Ann Arbor.
