Michigan football will play with a vengeance

The big question facing this Michigan team is how will it respond? The Wolverines suffered a devastating loss last Saturday and dropped a game they should have won.

But, the College Football Playoff rankings made it clear that the Wolverines still have plenty to play for. Michigan is ranked No. 7 right now and if U-M wins out, which is a monumental task, it would have a strong argument to be in the top four, even if it doesn’t win the Big Ten.

The culture of this team and the leadership has felt much improved all season and this loss to the Spartans will be the greatest test of that.

There was a players-only meeting this week and I think we’ll get a quick answer to our question Saturday night as I think the Wolverines play well and make a point.

Indiana is better than its record shows. And there are still talented players on both sides of the field. The Wolverines will have to deal with Ty Fryfogle and Peyton Hendershot, who each have more than 400 yards receiving, as well as running back Stephen Carr (588 yards, 6 TDs, 3.9).

Micah McFadden and Cam Jones are two very talented linebackers too, which is why there could be some tough sledding at times for Michigan in the run game.

But eventually, the Wolverines will wear out Indiana, create some big plays in the passing game and then ground and pound their way to a win, similar to Northwestern.
